Souvenirs are part of my world too, for they remind me of the places I have seen. As I go to Australia every year I've got quite a lot of Australian souvenirs.
The seed pods and clapsticks were decorated by the same artist who made my didgeridoo. His name is Roy McIvor. He is an uncle of my daughter's ex-husband. My daughter has written a book about his eventful life. It is soon to be published.

The coasters are made from the nut of the Giant Banksia, which is unique to Australia, see another Australian plant. These plants are named after Sir Joseph Banks who was Captain Cook's botanist.
Clapsticks are musical instruments and the bullroarer is used in ceremonies. It is tied to a piece of string, making a roaring sound when whirled round.

Those are fantastic souvenirs, not one of those run of the mill refrigerator magnets.

It's really sad that Australia is having all those bushfires. It reminds me of California last year; over 52 fires.

I like souvenirs, too. I have many from the places i've been to. Are the clapsticks something like the tap dance from Spain?

Wow, you got the best souvenirs, Wil. I looked for useful little gifts to bring back and had to make do with "Australian" tea towels made in China. :)
