It was such a sad and horrifying day --we lost friends too.
But I feel even more sad at the current behavior of SOME Americans who are being hateful towards ALL Muslims.
WE need to remember the heroic firefighters and others who died but not use this sad remembrance as an excuse for un-Christian behavior.
Personally, we will stay close to home and take the dog for a walk and enjoy the pretty early autumn day.
Love and greeting from New York.Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03964291132366262298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8811197833423548455.post-19834668897278682882010-09-11T13:24:04.772+02:002010-09-11T13:24:04.772+02:00The scope and horror of that day are impossible to...The scope and horror of that day are impossible to forget. It seemed...I remember this day well and painfully. It seemed like the longest day I'd felt in a long time.

I was greeting my students in the morning as they came to class. My first graders started to tell me that a plane had hit the tall buildings in New York.

I told them it was probably a small airplane and nobody in the big building would be hurt, I'm sure. The rest of the day was a nightmare as I learned the story throughout the day and some parents came to bring their children home because suddenly, life was uncertain.Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07461569436322815787noreply@blogger.com
